they do? while the storyline has the family "compound" in Long Beach - the scene itself is clearly not filmed anywhere near a bridge or water.

Yeah but it's assumed as it's a toll for a bridge. Also that compound was actually on Staten Island I believe (but supposed to be long beach).

yeah but if you're at all familiar with the Atlantic Beach Bridge - you know it couldn't have been filmed there. If anything, it sorta looks like the toll booths that were on the Meadowbrook.

The series The Affair that was on Showtime has many scenes from Montauk.

Nassau County has a whole film location department (your taxes at work), as well as a soundstage in Bethpage. If television series count, there have been quite a few. Just off the top of my head, The Americans and Royal Pains (which supposedly took place in the Hamptons, but was filmed at several different locations-including Nassau-on Long Island). There's been literally hundreds of TV and movies filmed here.

I believe that the scene in Goodfellas, where they show the childhood home of Karen that is supposed to be located in North Woodmere, was really filmed in the Five Towns. I'm sure some other person on CD can verify or correct me, if I'm wrong.
