We watched an older movie tonight that was set in Syosset, and while it could pass for parts of Syosset, it did not look like most of it. " LymeLife". We really enjoyed it, then we looked it up and surprise, surprise - it was set in New Jersey! This happens so frequently, it isn't funny.
Movies set on Long Island and actually filmed there? Let me think...parts of "Goodfellas" and parts of "Sabrina" - old movie with Audrey Hepburn that features a train station in Glen Cove.
Even the "Amityville Horror" was filmed in New Jersey!
Almost the entire movie was filmed in Nassau County
The house was in Glen Cove/Oyster Bay Area (https://hollywoodfilminglocations.co...ing-locations/)
The restaurant scenes are at the famous Louie’s restaurant in Port Washington
Other scenes like driving are also filmed in Port Washington

I' know it was SET in Oyster Bay, but I grew up in Oyster Bay and nothing looked like Oyster Bay to me. Especially purchasing champagne at a fictious drug store. I guess the driving scenes
I thought of another - "The Brothers McMullan", set in Valley Stream.
Also, parts of "Annie Hall" were in South Hampton and "Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind".
Yep that was filmed at what was left of mitchel field in Uniondale, not near jones beach as many believe.
That's right. Everyone thinks it was filmed at the Atlantic Beach Bridge.
