Curious = when you get the PSEG energy report - what percent of the bill is LIGHTS? Always thought that was negligible but ours was 60% - lowered to 40% but that still seems awfully high since half the time - we are sitting in the dark now.

Good question- I will report back when I get the next statement- I’ve always wondered how they can determine where the energy is going… I’m also curious as to other’s replies, and whether or not they feel it accurately represents their usage.

There is a data bank if I recall correctly- something to do with the Energy Star program that calculates it by the number of rooms and averages it using watt hours if I recall.

All my lights are LED. I have one room with electric heat for the toddler since we keep the heat at 68

When you fill out the energy survey on line, they come up with the amount per category.
