Driving since 1990. Have used mostly Geico but switched over to Progressive about 4 years ago. Though I have a pretty clean license with few accidents (maybe one at fault), my premiums for just basic liability has always been ridiculous. I can only think it's because living in Queens with so many bad drivers, we all pay the price.

I was paying $225 a month. Ridiculous for basic. Funny enough I was so pissed off this morning about it, I called Progressive and they "re ran" their numbers after I threantened to drop them and came back with a new figure of $164 a month. They said since I was a customer for 4 years that I was entitled to a discount. However had I not called, I would have never know.

But I still get raked over the coals. Can't wait to gtfo of NY.

if you and a spouse drive each others cars you potentially can have issues when you use one insurer and her another and you are not listed on each other’s policies..

it has to do with the way policies define the word YOU.

you can allow a stranger to drive your car and not be on your policy but not a spouse.

this is common where one has a company car and the spouse their own car and the spouse with the company car isn’t on the policy of the other spouses policy since he drives the company car .

if he borrows his wife’s car and has an accident he can find he isn’t covered .

Grundy is another choice for classic cars I write with them. How old are the cars with Hagerty?

96. 99 and 08.
One car has to be on regular insurance like Geico, so 2013 family mobile is on it.
