My power service line gets pulled around when it's windy by a tree branch owned by Town of hempstead. I've called PSEG on trimming the tree and they say call the town or contract to trim trees by service line. Town won't do it so I guess I have to hire someone.
Any suggestion on a contractor in Garden City area? It's one medium size branch touching it. I plan on call around. How much should it cost?
Try calling and telling them that your lights were flickering in the winds and that you are concerned. Not a consistent flicker, but when it is windy it is enough that you are nervous. They will dispatch a truck to check and if it is close enough they will see it they will dispatch a truck. Worth a shot.
I was planning to call as a concerned neighbor on a different phone number and saying the service line is being tugged around when it's windy and see how they respond. I'll try your suggestion as well.

PSEG is responsible for everything up the weatherhead on your house...
PSEG person came, inspected the tree and said it's my responsibility. Hire a contractor, set up date and time to trim, tell PSEG date and time so they can cut the power. Once job is complete, contact PSEG to turn on power...

Can you describe what lines are in the trees?
