Most of the action was in Brookhaven Town and on the East End, from what I've been hearing most of the Moriches is in the dark tonight and possibly hit by a tornado with fallen trees everywhere. In Greenvale I thought this storm was gonna miss us, but we got brushed around 5:30pm.
Around 8pm a cell formed to the east of Westbury and put down some pretty cool lightning bolts. Being it was still light out I couldn't use a long exposure so I just cropped these from video.
There's some more storms in NJ, but they will probably fall apart. I'd rather have some bolts at night so I can take higher resolution photos (instead of crops from a 640x480 video).
I have to say, ALL of your pics are nice. Even those pics that depict your sorrow in Westbury. You can make a man who has peed his pants look so vibrant!

Lucky LI that got a big storm. Here in queens it was just a few quiet rumbles of thunder, with a downpour that lasted about 3 minutes. Wish I was back on LI lol
East Moriches looks like a war zone on a few blocks. We found evidence in radar that 90 mph winds went through the east part of the town. No tornado...but very strong winds nonetheless.
