I don't know how this webpage works, but I found it searching for cabinet doors. I recently bought a Levitstyle house aswell and I would like to get my kitchen back to the original Levitstyle kitchen. I still have the metal frame for the cabinets, but my doors are replaced. Anybody have any from recent construction/demolition and don't want them anymore. Or does anybody know how I can get them?
anybody know if the entryway on the ranch style home is on the foundation or if it was poured separately? I want to blow out the wall and move my existing entryway so I can gain space in the kitchen. The link below shows the floor plan, the area I'm referring to is the square in the bottom right corner with the arrow.
I work for Shells Only (we do it all, its just a catchy name!) and we do 5 or 6 levit style homes a year. just call them up and they will walk you through it. there are many style to choose from.
Idk if that is something proud to brag about.. I've been driving by one of your jobs on the way to work for the last 6 weeks.. You guys are taking forever and its a basic second floor addition. Plus you put vinyl siding over the old asbestos shake siding... You guys obviously sub out most of the work because there are days upon days when no one shows up.
I just realized that I quoted and old post but I'm going to leave it up anyways lol!
We recently redid and expanded the bathroom upstairs and added a laundry closet. It almost feels like a modern house with the laundry upstairs.
Good luck with the Town of Hempstead building department code Nazis if you do any work. Permits, permit, permits. Factor it into the price. Good luck.
I am in the process of trying to add a washer and dryer to mom's Levitt ranch house. (She has no washer and dryer plumbing in her house.) My original plan was to add it to the first floor small bedroom along the adjoining bathroom wall. Since we are not doing any bathroom or kitchen renovations along with it it would involve moving the underground water "trap". So a less costly alternative is to install them in the upstairs bedroom along the adjoining bathroom wall. I am kind of worried about the flooding concern. So I was wondering if you have any suggestions from your experience?
Thanks, I am new to this forum, not sure I did this correctly.

Sandy, I would suggest starting a new thread and titling it "Adding a W/D to a Levitt house". The put in your entire post and see if you get any help. I don't think w/d when I think expansion of a home.

You can put in a overflow floor drain upstairs. Not a big deal.
Okay, thanks for suggestion. I will meet with a plumber shortly and discuss all the options.
