im seriously moving to long island i had thought about the westbury area but couldnt find anything reasonable... I dont care about stereotypes

No extra charge for muggings, shootings and rapes along with the stolen cars. However the natuical mile and the seafood restrauants are well worth anything else. LIRR on Sunrise is a major stop for the express train, plenty of shopping close to the beach.

I will consider either, If I can get a place with reasonable property taxes ill buy, I'm open to either renting or buying

Recently got a house in Hempstead for 145K. Needs some work but it's not too bad and it's a nice block/neighborhood. If you can see past the BS and "image" it's a great place.
