OK. We have definite opinions as to who is overpaid on LI.

Let's go for the opposite.

Who isn't overpaid on LI?

ME!

Just about anyone who works in private industry, relative to cost of living.

You are right!

The only people who are underpaid are the NCPD and SCPD! Dodging bullets should be worth BILLIONS and they do it every day multiple times a day out of the generousity of their hearts. Bill Gates is worth $40 billion (give or take), so the NCPD and SCPD police officers should each make $50 Billion! If you don't like it, you are a criminal and should be locked up!!!

Comparing payscales is very complicated, especially for jobs that sound same but vary according to location....
The best thing to do will be to compare whats left in the bank from your months pay minus expenses on LI compared to how much you are left with at whatever place is your alternative.

This will take care of all multiple layers of taxes and deductions at both places.

If we can do this at the family level to even out payscale discrepancies among professions that will be even better.

The greater the difference is.... the more that profession is overpaid on LI !
