We are thinking on buying a house we really like in east williston school district. we know that the school district is highly regarded, but we would like some info about their special ed. We have an autistic son who is going to kindergarten next september and would like to know if they have any program in district for him. What kind of classes do they offer, what about giving services.
Any info is welcomed.
I live close by, for the time being anyway, in NHP. I'm not sure about the East Williston school district but I can tell you Herricks is very good for special education. One of my sons is currently attending Center Street school. He's in a special ed class. Of course each child's diagnosis is confidential but I'm pretty sure a couple of kids in his class have autism. They get everything they need in the Herricks school district. I'd encourage you to buy a house in this school district. Your son's needs will be met.
