Just curious on what other fellow Long Islanders will be doing over the 4th? I will be heading to the Pocono area for a little getaway.

The Pocono's are great. I havent decided yet. Might stay local and do a house party. Ill probably head to Malibu Beach Club for the point lookout fireworks show.

Whatever your plans, be safe.

Headed up to my place in Pennsylvania. By the way, if you are up that way, Lake Ariel puts on the best small town fireworks display I have ever seen. It's so up close and in your face that one year, I saw them hosing down the nearby houses!

Hey Tom didnt know you were a home owner in Pa..how do you like it?
Ive heard this about the Lake Ariel fireworks from alot of people. Is it in a community or can outsiders see them too? Where would you suggest to park to see them?

Thanks.

I love it. I'm in a community called The Hideout in Lake Ariel.

The fireworks are not inside a community. They are in the town of Lake Ariel. To get there take I84 to Exit 17. Go north on Rt. 191 for about 10 miles. When you pass "the" traffic light, you have about two miles to go. Bring a lawn chair. Everyone sets up on somebody's lawn (they don't mind - it's not Long Island).
