I've never had a problem either. I LOVE flying out of ISP. So much easier than JFK. And yes, last time I went on a business trip out of there $45 for parking vs. $150 for JFK.

Hey, there's nothing wrong with sharing a plane with cattle. Granted its not the cleanest or best smelling, but you can't beat the price in this economy.
I'm an Islip town resident, so it's free, bay-bay!!!
Macarthur is so convenient, but I'm not thrilled about Southwest:
1)really old planes
2)cattle call boarding.
I wish Jet Blue flew out of Islip.
Yeah, I'm not a fan of Southwest, except for their no change fee policy. The planes are pretty old. I just looked it up though and it says they have had no accidents in their history.
I try to get my boarding pass online as soon as they offer it to get the A group boarding.
If Jet Blue flew out of Islip, it would be amazing.
Is Southwest blocking Jet Blue? I recall a rumor that Southwest didn't want a particular airline in there and I can't remember who that was.
They basically have a monopoly on the airport, so someone's pockets are getting lined, be rest assured. I'm not sure if the town or county has any control of the airport, but if they do....well, it's all about the money.
