Hi,
How is the availability of parking spaces at the Syosset train station? I'd like to know if you have to take a really early train in order to get a spot, or if they're pretty available if you leave at, say, 7:30 or 8:00 a.m.
My husband takes the train at Syosset every weekday. He has to get to the station no later than 7:30 OR there are no spots!!! He usually gets there between 7 and 7:15 and sits in his car and reads the paper or listens to the radio and waits for i think the express to Penn station which is 7:35 or something like that...he also prefers to park in the lot behind the train (not by dunkin donuts) its easier to get out after work as to not have the jackson ave traffic...and yes, you need to go to the town of oyster bay court house and get a yearly permit--its cheap like $20.00. good luck
Wow, that's really discouraging. I happened to go through there the other day and the lot looked pretty full. I'm thinking of moving out there.
