Hi guys,
I noticed something weird in the past 2 days....
The boiler is leaking some liquid from the back. I think its water but not sure. Its forming a very small stream that is coming towards the front.
I have called my oil company and they are arriving tomorrow because we do have heat, so its not an emergency (they think it might be a relief valve)....
Has anyone experienced this ?

Also the only thing I changed in the past 2 days was that I replaced my old manual thermostats with the new programmable ones. So the boiler had to be switched off for about an hour or so for both days....

Thanks for your replies.

From under the boiler?

There is a pressure relief valve that has a pipe with an open end....is it from there?

I can't get behind the boiler as its too tight, but I see water dripping from behind and not under the boiler.

Have them replace the pressure relief valve.....no big deal.....make sure they install or put back the ext. pipe that pionts to the floor....6 inches high.

We just had a leak and needed the relief valve replaced. That's exactly where it was leaking from.

Easy fix
