What a day it was....

I have to laugh when people in supposedly more rugged and / or rural locales think of us as inept city-slickers or flatlanders. We have to put up with almost Biblical floods, snowstorms, winds, temperature extremes, taxes, traffic, cost of living, crowding, etc. etc. I'd like to see some of them make the cut here.

Gone from thermal underwear to a t-shirt in just a couple of days, spent the afternoon splitting firewood by hand (no gas splitter), stuff hurts but it's a good hurt, especially thinkin of the oil I will not burn.

Come on now, don't make me envy you so much. otherwise, i'll park myself with the kids there next time you head out.

Don't envy...I got hung up in PJ! Came home to grab everyone and hubby was on a business call. GRRRR!

I know you're further south, but West Meadow Beach is great at sunset. Faces west, ample parking, not loaded with annoying boombox cars. Good playground for the tikes, picnic area, small beach.

Definitely worth checking out.

PLUS: no bluffs to climb up or down.
Minus: the dang rocks!

You know you want to.
It's been one of those days at the C-D grind.
Sort of like popping a cold one after a long day at the office.

Go ahead.

It's Miller (Rocky Point) Time!
