Hi everyone, just registered to this forum but have been reading it for a while. I’m getting ready to move to the LA or Orange County area. I have a couple questions that I think the locals could answer for me. I’d really appreciate any input that you guys could give. I’ll try to be brief as possible
I’m moving from the east coast and was just wondering about how much money I should have saved. I plan on initially finding a room on craigslist (rooms/shared) until I can get on my feet out there. Looking for something cheap..no more than $1000 a monthI’m a professional psychic medium, author, and advanced certified hypnotherapist. Part of the reason I’m moving out there is because the market for alternative therapies is much larger on the west coast. I’m very good at what I do and have built a large number of clients out here, but I think I would be more successful either in LA (West Hollywood, Culver, SFV) or Orange County. I also would like to be close to media outlets so that I can demonstrate the service I offer. (I've been on the radio many times here on the East Coast, but radio is really all I can do HERE. I'd like to do as much media as possible) Which do you guys think has the larger market for my services?
I know there are tons of psychics, and healers in both areas but I’m just wondering which area would be more conducive for building clientele.

I'm not a medium or a psychic or anything like that. I just look at data. I would think you'd have to find neighborhoods with a high percentage of gullible people.

OK, so what are the answers to your questions?

Yeah I was thinking somewhere in LA would be a far better option than OC. There's a lot more wackos up there who will believe anything. They just need to find a good supply of nuts with disposable income. I'm thinking somewhere on the west side. Find some bored, lonely move producer wifes.

Lots of old, sick people to prey on in Santa Monica and then there's the whole West Hollywood/AIDS thing. Tack on "Macro-Biotic Nutrionist" to your business card and you'll probably make a fortune.
