I don't understand why kids from rich areas are ashamed to be from nice places.

The fact is Beverly Hills is extremely rich. The "poor" parts of Beverly Hills rival the richest sections of most cities in the US. You probably believed you grew up "middle class" because you didn't live in a 10 million dollar mansion like the ones that you were accustomed to seeing.

I know many people like this who come from multi-generational wealth and the top 5% in the nation and insist and believe they are middle class just because there house doesn't look like Snoop Doggs on cribs.

Because we're middle class compared to everyone we grew up with.
