for what it's worth, city terrace/el sereno is one of the last ungentrified hilly areas in LA. great views of dtla are to be had from there!

Affordable in LA is like 600-1200 for a one bedroom and there is nothing cheaper like 400 for a one bedroom apartment. Then the gas is so high. Not to mention the tax rate in California is ridiculous. The traffic in LA is the highest volume I've ever seen anywhere and the population density is intense. LA is a whole world of its own and intriguing. Each side has its own story and intrigue.
