Hello all, I am Colombian girl and I will be some months studying English in LA area.
I am looking for a family's house or someone who want to rent to me a room, I would love to live in Westlake Village but LA it's ok too. Also, I need to know about life's cost there.
I will be very grateful if somebody can help me with some information.

Hello Vanessa,
I'd welcome you in Spanish but the board prohibits it. I lived in Bogata (and then Cali) for a while many, many years ago. Where are you going to school? I suggest living close to it. With that we can help you.

Hello Sorcerer68, it's nice to know somebody who knows my Country.
Bogotá has changed a lot in the last times, so if you come here again I am sure you will find fun.
I have thought to go to these two schools :
1) 3807 Wilshire Boulevard Suite 1140, Los Angeles, CA 90010, tel.: 213-381-6707
2) 3625 Thousand Oaks Boulevard Suite 131, Westlake Village, CA 91362, fax.: 213-81-6721
I like Westlake because I have heard that is a beautiful city and very safe but also is expensive so maybe I prefer LA.
I don't know, now I am working in an important project to my Company and it will take my time until November or December, after that I would be ready to leave.
I would like to talk with you in Spanish, if you want I would like you to write to me to my mail : norma_cepeda2004@yahoo.es.

The decision for you is if you'd like to live in the city or in the suburbs. Westlake is the suburbs and you'll want to drive to do anything fun. The school on Wilshire is in the middle of everything, totally urban and the complete opposite of the Westlake area.
