Yep, agreed. NoHo Arts District. It's one square mile. I have friends who live there and we always have a good time when I visit. Definitely walkable. Most of it centers around Lankershim and Magnolia Blvd. There are a bunch of fun places to go. From the top of my head, I've gone to Tokyo Delves (fun sushi), Brickyard Pub (billiards), Republic of Pie (dessert, yum!), TV Academy (check out bronze statues of TV stars), NoHo Park, NoHo Commons (art galleries and food), and Federal Bar.

All good recommendations. Pit Fire Pizza at the corner of Magnolia/Lankershim is great.

Take the Noho subway to Hollywood/ Highland. You'll find a lot more stuff there. It's like 3 stops away.

Lots of great bars springing up in NoHo and a lot of old favorites too. My favorites are:

*Federal Bar
*Tiki No
*No Bar
*Bar One (closer to Valley College)
*Bow & Truss (brand new/euro themed)
*Skinnys
*The Good Nite Bar (if you like karaoke)
*Brickyard Pub (play pool, darts and shuffleboard too)
*The Other Door (more laid back)

Not much a fan of Big Wangs; too much like Hooters. There's also some gay bars, but I'm not sure if that's your scene. Have fun!

If the gay bars have dancing, I don't mind. They usually have great music.
