You could go inside the Bradbury building, eat at grand central market, gaze at the skyscrapers, go to the Los Angeles public library, city hall observation deck, hoP on the metro, go to Chinatown, explore the strange but unique produces of Chinese markets..Go to alameda & central for an experience straight out of Mexico city, tons of food and produce.

I took my GF to that cool arcade on Broadway, I had a blast! she didn't but oh well Then we took the free tour at the Cathederal of Our Lady of the Angels. After that we went to the revolving restaraunt at the Boniventure (doesn't cost a dime if you don't eat anything ) then we ate at Phillipe's over on Alameda/Ord st. We also walked along Spring st, went to the Grand Central Market, went to that California Plaza place on Bunker Hill, went to the central library, went to that mall at the Macy's on 7th st, ate at one of the 40,000 "NY Pizza" places Downtown, drove through skidrow (windows were rolled up of course ) wandered around the fashion district and learned a little spanish lol. Granted that wasn't all on the same day, it was about two full days or walking around and taking detours in the car.
