I will be moving to Los Angeles in January and was thinking of attending LA City College. I know absolutely nothing about the area. I am 26, female, social butterfly, musician, like to be in the middle of it all. I am from Atlanta, now "living" between DC and NY. Hope that helps a bit. Can anyone tell me about Santa Monica and Sant Ana areas, I know they have community colleges too??? (I have registered at all three) I'm not a self consumed wanna be hollywood star, so I'd like to be where I could help out the communities by volunteering time and such. But still somewhere safe, #1 priority. Anyway, please help, it would be greatly appreciated.

Los Feliz to the North. Silverlake, West Hollywood area, Koreatown.

There is a big difference between Santa Monica City College and LA City College. One will be more appealing than the other depending on what your looking for.

Los Feliz Village. It's a short subway ride and a great place for a young woman to live.
