With that said, where do you live currently? And what are you trying to get away from?
I currently live in a small town in Georgia. It sucks. I don't know 'exactly' what I'm trying to get away from. But, I really hate being around people that are intolerant and bigots. Now, I know that's with every state and everyone has their own problems, but it looks like California has a better quality of life and I'll be happier out there. I don't know if I'm right or not.

I completely understand. My parents moved to Conyers, Georgia when I was in college. And going back "home" for school breaks and summer was life sucking. It was extremely rural, with cookie-cutter developments, and nothing around for miles. And the people while outwardly friendly, once they start to get to know you show their bigotry and hatred. So I definitely feel you man.

Thanks man. I'll be leaving to finish high school in Henry County (Atlanta) in about 5 months, nicest people ever.

I've come to terms with renting, my uncle broke down the cost, which are outstanding. So what apartment or condo complex's would you recommend. I would like to live in one that I wouldn't hear my neighbors around me. I'm a bit anti-social at times, it's very rare but I like to be by myself (in quiet). Like in the mornings. The max I'm will to spent is $1,500 (maybe even $1,600-700 if it's worth it).

It's hard to recommend apartment complexes because the majority of apartments in LA (not sure about orange county) are smaller, independently managed places. It's kind of one of those, you have to visit and search around. Pictures on WestsideRentals.com, Craigslist, or Padmapper can't substitute for the real thing. But if you'd like to look up neighborhoods, they're a good place to feel out rent prices.

Do you (or anyone else) have any insight where I should start? I'm kinda looking at moving to "The Valley".
Is that where the "cool" young people live?

You are doing this in 2-3 years, correct? And without having visited first? You can always look at this stuff when you get much closer. Neighborhoods and prices will change.
