Every region has it's colloquialisms....'Yknow what I'm saying' in New York. 'You betcha' in Fargo. 'How y'all doing?' in Texas.

What are some very strong colloquialisms that you'd strongly associate with being in Los Angeles?

The word "dude" can be used to express a number of different things. Finding a good parking spot "DUDE!". I lost everything during the last major quake: "Duuuuuuuude."

Others:
Are you down to do this or do that.

Popular catch words:
Like, sweet, dope, way, whatevs or whatever, late/laters/lates

From watching Entourage...not sure how accurate it is. "In this town..."

Also noticed that when I read "Hollywood Animal" by screenwriter Joe Eszterhas.

"Man" and "dude" are interchangeable. For example:

Yeah, well, that's just, like, your opinion, man. - YouTube

I usually sign of with "later" on the phone.
