The only reason to go to Skid row is if you are a retailer going to the wholesale shops, or helping the homeless, otherwise there's nothing else to do except gawk at the homeless. And why would anyone want to do that?

I can't see why anyone would be attracted to see homeless people in harsh environment.

At least the kids who want to go see the projects are probably doing so because they've seen all the LA hood flicks, or have listened to rap music glorifying it.

But Skid Row?

Default Skid Row I've been there

I was on a mission trip and we went down a street in skid row just out side of a full homeless shelter at about 10:30 at night we were pan handled, hit on, and cornered by 2 guys it's a pretty scary place most fear I've ever faced. But the strange thing is I would go again I'd be smarter about it though and have a guy with us. It's an eye opener for sure.

I don't mind going to Skid Row at any time of the day or night. Of course, I have a sidearm on my right hip.

Don't forget Seattle - shoot, I will give to people who ask in downtown LA - but they are cool withit if you say no. In Seattle - if you turn a panhandler down - they get verbally abusive and sometimes violent!
