Puffle, I know you've wanted to do this for a long time and I'm happy for you. I know what it's like to live in a place you don't want to be and how wonderful it feels to be in a place you do. Best of luck to you.

Thank you Sorcerer68. I hope you are presently in your "happy place" and if not, I hope you eventually get there. Life is too short.

I am sooooo jealous, but very happy for you too. Best of luck to you, your family and your cute doggies in your new Boston home. And best wishes for a safe and uneventful (unless they are planned events) drive East. You probably already know this, but having driven from Denver to Kansas recently and having been disappointed to find out that the motel I was going to stay in (a Comfort Inn in Cheyanne Wells, Colorado) was already full for the night when I arrived, you might want to make reservations in some of the smaller locations to make sure you get a nice place and don't have to extend your drive further than you planned. (I ended up staying in a brand new Holiday Inn Express in Goodland, Kansas, but I had to drive another 25 minutes to get there.)

I'm exactly where I want to be. Getting back to L.A. was more difficult than I thought from the middle of the ocean but I've been back home for 6 months now and I'm LOVING it! I got out and did my research and it just made me homesick and here I am. My happiness and quality of life have zoomed way upward since I've returned.

Again, enjoy. I know you've wanted this for a long time.

*update* After moving away from LA, 3 year ago, I can honestly and thankfully say...that I do not miss it. I have visited twice and found that the same crushing crowds, stress and indifference had not dissipated. It too courage to do so after 20 years, but I'm glad that I did. The sun and the warm weather where not enough to keep me happy there.

Wow, it's not very often that we have somebody return to respond to their post 4 years later! With the same handle to boot! Very impressive.

Where is your new Shangri-La?

I left Southern CA over 4 years ago, and haven't even set foot in the state since. I'm wondering how I'll feel when I make my inevitable return....

Interesting. I moved TO Los Angeles from Boston. After 9 years here, I decided I didn't like it and I moved back to Boston (by way of Austin. Long story).

And then I re-discovered why I moved from Boston in the first place.

Moved back to LA almost a year ago, and this time I'm appreciating that all that much more. LOVE LOVE LOVE it here!

I wish Puffle would come back and say how they're doing.

Started off as good cheer and a pleasant goodbye. Now its just petty insults.

I guess you just couldn't resist.

Cheers.
