Hi everyone,

How is the neighborhood in Bellflower on Lakewood between Artesia and South Street? I'm not too familiar with Bellflower, but there are houses that I'm looking at in this area. I drove by last night and didn't feel too safe (saw 3-4 cop cars and sketchy people), so that's my gut feeling right now. Don't mean to offend anyone though.

Currently I live in Fullerton (Malvern/Gilbert) and commute to work in Irvine, so it'll be further, but financial issues have my parents "downgrading" if they don't get approved for a loan mod. I still wanted a "nice" house, but if it's in a neighborhood that I wouldn't feel my parents would be safe in, then I'm not sure it's worth it. It's really about them since my brother and I plan to move out eventually.

I lived in Norwalk for 13 years (near Pioneer/Foster) when I was younger, but it's hard to go "downgrade" after living in a nice, quiet, safe neighboorhood.

I'd appreciate any input. Thank you!

It's not too bad east of Lakewood. West of Lakewood gets a bit sketchy

I've lived in BF for a few yrs... a good chunk of it is fairly run down. There are some parts that have nice clean middle class neighborhoods. I think you'd be taking a step down from where you're at now.
