Hey,
Looking at LA, Looks like a great place.

I'm 18, coming from Europe, Web-Designer, and I can afford LA without a problem.

I would attend College there. I love nice weather (hate winter, although it doesn't hurt to try skiing/snowboarding sometimes), I like diversity, nice women. I'm not a hard party guy, but enjoy going to parties.
I LOVE the ocean and water sports (water sports beats any sports). I enjoy the sun, summer, and love to try new things (Which LA seems to have).

I'd lease a car when I come to LA so I can commute from my apartment to college, and the beach and other awesome places in LA.
I like the fact that LA is close to everywhere, Vegas, San Diego (Mexico too), Grand Canyon, skiing etc. And there is a big demand for web-designing (although I don't rely on my location).

Thanks!

Sounds like it is for you. Definitely not for me. But based on what you said, you would love LA.

From what little you've said about yourself, sure, LA could work. The biggest thing is money. Do you have enough money? You say you do, but at 18 years old, you better be from some rich european family who will bankroll your lifestyle.

You've just talked yourself into Los Angeles. Trust me, if you love the beach, and snow sports... this is the place. I can't tell you how many times I surfed in the morning, packed up the car with my sticks, and was on the slopes by 2pm for the afternoon freeze. There aren't many places in the world that you can do this.

The weather is awesome, but the people are grouchy, and getting worse. I think the east coast attitude is having an effect on the locals. The days of being laid back and kickin'it are gone. Our traffic is the worst. Rush hour is from 8am to 7pm, especially on the 405 between OC and the SF valley. The state is broke, so we can use your tax money... come on over and bring your family!!!

If I were you I'd visit South Florida. Obviously, though, the other places you mentioned are not close to So FLA.

Nah, he sounds like an LA kind of guy. South Florida is really only for certain kinds of people.

Everything the OP said he wants, is definitely LA/SoCal. Florida is a great alternative, but it's not going to be for everyone like the way LA is.
