We're considering renting an apt for our parents in N. Redondo Beach. The building is near Flagler and Belmont, so it's west of Rindge and about halfway between Artesia and Anita/190th. Would love to hear thoughts on this location and whether it'd be good (i.e. safe and comfortable) for seniors. I know people have mixed feelings about the area east of Inglewood around the Galleria. Is this far enough west to be considered an ok section of N. RB? Unfortunately further west or south is a bit out of their budget (and we weren't crazy about the apts we saw in Torrance), but we're trying to find a spot somewhat convenient to the Asian markets and churches in Torrance. Would appreciate any thoughts from locals! Thanks!

I lived near Curtis and Rindge about 20 years ago and it was a great area, then. I don't imagine much has changed as the property values are still very high, from what I have seen recently.

Thanks ccm123 and thelopez2. I lived in the south bay a loooong time ago, so I'm used to driving on Artesia to get to the Galleria, but never explored much more around there. We're just trying to find a temp place for a year where they can be comfortable, still near the Asian population in Torrance, and maybe even close enough to possible options for part-time work. Appreciate your taking the time to post.

Have you consider Gardena for the Asian markets and food. Nijiya, Ranch 99, Mitsuwa. Western , Artesia, Redondo Beach blvd, are street you might want to see if you haven't been around for a while.
