I'd say earthquake. Wildfires happen most or all the time in the hills or mountains.

Why no "sticky" at the top of this forum for wildfires, I wonder? They certainly are a lot more frequent. And hills and mountains are a vital part of the LA area.

Neither. The inept politicians that we elect to run California will destroy the state faster than either fires or earthquakes.

Fires only affect certain portions of the city, usually the hillsides. Earthquakes aren't so discriminatory. I'd be inconvenienced by the smoke from a wildfire, but that's about it. An earthquake, on the other hand? I just pray that I'm not at home or at work when it hits. (And since I'm either one of those places 90% of the time, I'm probably doomed!)

A very silly question that belies your location line. Let me know when the next L.A. area wildfire produces anywhere near these stats.
