Agreed. This pudgy, outgoing comedian type (think Seth Rogen/Jonah Hill) I know gets the model ladies and he's not rich. But that is very rare.

Like everywhere else in the US, even in LA, men heavily outnumber, and the large gay population in LA isn't offsetting, even slightly. The US generally has ratios close to China, of course it's going to be this way.

That's the main problem.

Men do NOT outnumber women. The ratios are understood to be pretty even, or women having a slight edge.

That's not true about Los Angeles or Orange County, according to the latest census data, Women slightly outnumber men.

If any man is having problems finding or getting a woman in SoCal, it's not because of numbers.

It's only true because of senior citizen women.

107 boys to 100 girls at birth.

To the OP: you ask in the title of this thread "Are Single Men in Los Angeles too desperate and low class?"

Nope. They are just the right amount of desperate and low-class.

I don't understand; you say this as if it were a bad thing.

I think lots of women here just want a man that can bankroll them. Or they want someone that has certain qwerks they are into (tattoos, starving artist).

I haven't been in the trenches for a while. I'm just trying to not be judgmental.
