The Amtrak train that goes from Glendale to Santa Barbara is called the Pacific Surfliner, and it runs 5 times daily.

You can catch that train at the platform over by Los Feliz Blvd and San Fernando Rd. But, I don't think you can buy tickets there.

Amtrak's website is amtrak.com

You can purchase tickets on line at Amtrak site. The train crew will scan the QR Code fron your mobile device or print out. The QR Code is sent to your email.

Pac Surliner trains have a Cafe car serving snacks and beverages. You can take the food bac to your seat and use the pull down tray. The food at the cafe car is pricey, so you can bring your own food to eat at your and save money.

Please feel free to ask the train crew any questions so you are certain what to do and how things work. Amtrak train crews are very nice and helpful.

The Metrolink tickets are usually cheaper than the Amtrak ones. So if you have choice choose a Metrolink train over an Amtrak one.
