Are there any areas in LA County or even all of Southern California that is somewhat close to the coast that is affordable?? When I say affordable I would say about 150,000 would my price range. I'm amazed that the housing is so expensive. I live in Chicago and am looking for a vacation condo. Does not have to be in LA County. Any advice would be great. Thanks!!

Why lump long beach and seal beach with trailer parks? That makes zero sense.

I plugged in under 150,000 and those cities popped up. There are too many cities to list all the trailer parks. Sorry you took offense.

Depending on how often you plan to visit, you might want to reconsider buying a place that may sit unoccupied and cost you a fortune. It might be worth it if you planned to rent it out as a vacation rental when you are not using it.
If you want to be able to visit without the responsibility, you could try renting instead.

There are condo-tel on the sand in Hermosa when you aren't staying they are rented out as hotels, but they are pricey. But if it makes the mortgage payment who cares.
