I too bought a brand new Audi years ago and it blew up. Literally started gushing smoke and my girl brain couldn't figure it out. Traded it in for a Honda. Keep your Honda.

I'll give you my take based on the single-man criteria:

1. you gotta have your own place if you want random chicks coming over. Renting a room, or having a roommate reduces your options.

2. it's street parking and parking structures in sherman oaks mostly; your theoretical shiny new Audi will be stolen or vandalized.

3. your budget of $300mo/$75 wk for food is unrealistic. Happy hour for one at anyplace along Ventura Blvd will run you $35. I like to EAT, but maybe you're more frugal by nature.

4. I'd stick with the Accord for another year, and think about a new car maybe in 2016.

You just have to define your priorities.

I have 2012 Honda Accord LX-P. I bought it new, the car has 50k miles. I spent about $400 on maintenance so far, plus $500 for new tires. The car runs like new. Best car for the money, period!

I owned several German cars in the past, the stupid oil change was $115. I pay $25 for Honda's oil change (done at Honda dealership, never quick lube!!!)---I use coupons (read $$ in your packet), a lot. Its up to you, what are your priorities. Personally, I would prefer my own place.
You can also lease an Audi, and save little bit of money. Look for lease specials on Audi or dealer's website. Good luck!
