Flight wise when is the cheapest time of the year to visit LA?

What day of the week close to the weekend is the cheapest time to arrive?

An example would be New Orleans. Generally the hotel's are cheaper because of the hot weather. Other cities it's cheaper to fly in on Thursday instead of Wednesday

The obvious answer relative to airfare is around non peak periods i.e., holidays and school year start and end months.

As far as in town prices, in El A and most other places, there is no seasonal price for food or entertainment.
