Only if you are under 30, have over 3 million in your 401k, have a trophy wife, and drive foreign sports cars (average city data user).

9k after taxes?

I don't know what the costs of living in Beverly Hills, I'm just the help and they don't let me over there.

I would think that 9k a month you'd be able to barely squeak by, might be tough, you could load up on top ramen though.

OP's name has 'dr' in it. Assuming he/she is a doctor, it makes sense how he can pull that kinda $$$ in

You guys are acting like that's some huge, unheard of salary... it's barely $100k. Not that $100k isn't bad money, it certainly isn't rich...especially not in LA. I have no idea about Beverly Hills, but with $100k a year, you can definitely get by.

I don't think anyone is questioning someone making 100k because lot's of people do. I think people are just having some fun with a poster who is obviously just playing around on the internet.

Why some people can't see that is a topic for a whole other thread.

9k is decent enough for a single person. In Nevada, that's enough to get a mcmansion.

Yeah. I hope it is a troll mostly because the thought of someone with that kind of grammar and punctuation being compensated $9000 a month is rather horrifying.
