True, but most of the area in that circle is not exactly what I would call high class.

Closer to Larchmont Village the better. But I really like that area.

The area south of Melrose (Hancock Park) is very nice, but once you go north into Hollywood, it starts getting grungy. Not a bad area, but not great. Amazing of how much of a difference a few streets makes. Hancock Park is a beautiful area with tree lined streets, but it's surrounded by dumpy areas of Hollywood and Koreatown.

Many old apartment with longtime tenants enjoying low priced rent controlled units. Loud trash trucks, rumbling down the alley and people dumpster diving. The circle encompasses real estate where a single house cost more than a multiunit apartment a few blocks away.
