(I think I'm overdue for another donation to these folks, given my frequent mentions of their services in this forum):

The Coalition for Economic Survival offers free one-on-one consultations with an attorney at their tenants' rights clinics:

CES Tenants' Rights Clinic

I suggest arriving early, if you decide to go.

The thing with the ceiling has been on going. Since December theyve had it on file. And when I went in to the office in February to pay rent I brought it up again and the manager there switched it to emergency maintenance. But it still wasn't fixed. So when I called about my current situation and was transfered to their head manager I was told about the max occupancy since their is nothing stated in my lease about the max occupancy but since he was the boss I figured he could get something done about my ceiling.

Since I received the notice I did call the manager but seeing as I got home at closing time after work around 5 they were closed so I left a voice mail for him.
As for the ceiling issue it's been on going. When we first moved in shortly after we noticed it sagging after some bad rain storms then it finally gave one day when I was at work. But I had already notified them 3 months prior. They eventually fixed it cutting out a 6 by 6 ft piece of ceiling. Then in December it started falling again. I reported it and it was put on file. Then in February while paying rent I brought it up and it was switched to emergency maintenance. So with the current situation I called and was transfered to the main boss of csn reality and told him about that problem in hopes of it getting repaired.
