How hard is it it do find parking and what is the usual rate?

I am planning to stay at a place about 15 minutes away. I want to have pretty close access to bars and all the touristy stuff. If parking is bad I guess it wouldn't be so bad to über.

Uber. Especially if drinking. And I'd still do it even if not drinking.

Its easy.. Hollywood is not like downtown NYC or some city like that. You can probably find some free parking in one of the neighborhood streets around Hollywood. Parking is not that big of a deal in LA really.

Thanks everyone. Definitely will consider uber if we plan to go to a bar or club and drink a few. Never uber before either.

Yep. If you don't mind walking 10 or 15 minutes to the "touristy" areas, you can easily find free street parking.

Relatively cheap Parking at Hollywood highland shopping center but you need a validation .
$2 for 2 hours with validation , but you can buy a soda or something . But then it's $1 for 15 mins so it can add up . Daily max is $15

It's sort of tough finding street Parking but it depends what part of Hollywood , what time of day and all that

Like others said uber is cheap and there is an uber pool option which is even cheaper , it's cheaper because the driver picks up others on the route . I haven't used it before but the prices are very reasonable .

Have fun

I live 1 block off Hollywood/Highland.

We tow like mad around here. 15min with a red meter and you'll be fetching the bus to the impound. I suggest avoiding side streets and either parking @ Hollywood/Highland (tons of space), or taking Uber/Lyft. The majority of cars within a 3 block radius of the Blvd seem to be Uber/Lyfts, so your pick up times will be minimal.
