I took my family to the Grove during Christmas time a few years ago, which was very nice, but I remember parking being a chore and the place was packed. I have a second child now and want to visit either the Grove or the Americana to take in the lights and decorations, but I'm not sure which is preferred. I've never actually been to the Americana, so I'm clueless as to the parking situation and if it's better or worse than the Grove. Any thoughts from those who have been to both would be appreciated.

Grove's OK with the following cheat. Lightly restricted (but do check signs) street parking exists not all that far away. I like to hit it late in the day, IIRC ones I'm familiar with only are restricted until 6PM and they are 2HR.

Americana has plenty of parking in the parking structure. If you want to take the kids to see Santa make an appointment otherwise it can be over an hour in line especially on weekend or close to holiday. We got pictures last year and their Santa and village is very high quality
