His messaging was basically to encourage the protesting .
Irresponsible of him. I know he hates Trump but that's the next President .
I really hope we have a common sense Mayor next time .
Not a politically correct wuss.

Garcetti will be facing other problems. Trump will cut off federal funding to LA unless LA gives up undocumented immigrants. Trump may have Garcetti down on his knees as a loss of federal funding would effect policing, education, mass transit, highways, and a host of other functions.

Yeah we will see, he 'condemned' even Obama immigration raids but Obama didn't threaten to cut off federal funding.

It's funny though because Garcetti is so Pro illegal immigrant...yet the neighborhoods that have high concentrations of illegal immigrants are in pretty bad condition.

He care more about political correctness than actually doing anything

This is nuts..
Traumatic election?? He's pathetic. And he wants to join the protests.
It's totally irresponsible .

---

Garcetti, who supported Trump’s opponent Hillary Clinton, said he feels “the pull” to join protests himself and has taken to the streets in the past.”This was a traumatic election,” he said during a news conference at City Hall.

I heard on Bill Handel show this am that he would be out there with them if he wasn't mayor.

Protesting is fine as long as it is peaceful. All this other garbage they are doing is just hurting their cause. Actually I don't think the people destroying property are part of the peaceful protesters.

We've seen people take advantage of situations only to riot-steal- and cause mayhem.

He's proud? Let them cover HIS neighborhood with expletive-laden graffiti and block HIS car when he's trying to get to work; see how he likes it.

We all know that deportations will increase under Trump. There should be no doubt about that.
