Did you hear he will not be part of the debate on John and Ken? Mayor Soft Serve claims he didn't know about it, even though people have been tweeting at him about it for over a week.

OTOH, Eric claims he'll allow John and Ken to interview him eventually -- I look forward to seeing if they hit him on the Seabreeze project in San Pedro...bwahahahhahaha!

Yeah I heard them talking about it . It was funny . I wonder if he will actually go on the show . They mentioned he will probably go on after the election .

Anyone who votes for Garcetti as their mayor after a term of absolutely doing nothing except making Los Angeles worse (less jobs, more crime), deserves every single minute of his next term.

His commercials create an image of a suburban utopia yet in reality he's doing everything he can to turn LA into Manhattan.

Yeah I almost wonder if he's just focusing on elderly westside voters that live and spend time only in nicer areas.
I could imagine thinking Garcetti is great if you never leave Brentwood or the Palisades ..

Or maybe if you live in a retirement home and have no conception of what's been going on in the city under his reign ..

I guess another segment is the young voters that are anchor babies .. or have illegal aliens in their family and like Garcetti for his sanctuary city stance ..and they are willing to put aside everything else ..

I just don't see what he has to offer for the average legal American citizen voter ..

Yeah but NYC has actually had lower crime recently while the violent crime and murders in L.A has gone up . Homeless situation isn't nearly as bad there either from what I hear .
He's just not willing to tackle the tough issues facing a city like L.A .

I know about him. but what I do know you are spot on: He reminds me of the Wonderful NYC : I heard him on NPR yesterday and it gave me a pretty clear picture of what he is like and his views: glad he isn't my mayor.

My sister still lives in NYC. She says homelessness has gone way up since De Blasio became mayor.

Well LA isn't a suburb. So I wonder why he is trying to depict it like that.
It's the 2nd biggest city in the U.S. We're not going back to the 50s. Time we change our perceptions of L.A. Just doesn't work anymore. Not that L.A. needs to be Manhattan. But it certainty cannot be the burbs anymore..
