Premium is in the $3+ range here. Which brings us back to the thread's original topic - disparity between grades by more than 10 cents occurs a lot more frequently in the U.S. than it doesn't. That is, of course, if those surprised by this happen to venture outside their comfort zone.

When gas was half the price it is now, then yeah... 10 cents between grades was the norm.

But now, you don't really ever see it like that.

Gas was a touch under $1 a gallon when I was in high school. I remember thinking how crazy it was when the dollars were ticking up faster than the gallons pumped. What a ripoff I thought! And back then, 10 cents between grades was typical. Now it is 15-20 cents between grades here, but on a percentage basis, is about the same difference. Maybe even less of a surcharge for the premium stuff.
