Anybody done this before? I had a friend who recently did it but it was paid by another company during his work visit but he loved it. Saw some great shots. I think he started around Santa Monica & ended up up top near Malibu for a picnic lunch.

I see a lot of different companies that offer but & none seem to be that cheap so would be a little skeptical of doing one with the wrong company so posting here.

What did you pay per person? Time frame? Suggestions.

Thanks!

I have my helicopter based out of Van Nuys and know a lot of pilots that fly for the tour charter companies, such as JetBoy, Elite, etc. Most, if not all, have extensive military-police-fire department experience. I don't think you can go wrong with any of them, it just boils down to price.

Heavens, no. I'd never, ever fly in a Robinson helicopter. Mine is a Bell 47G.

How many co-owners?

Looks like a lot of fun. And it probably makes all the piston driven Robinson guys jealous.

Over the years I've upgraded the copter to a larger cabin, swapped out the 220 hp Franklin engine to a 260 hp Lycoming, and added a turbo charger. No speed demon by any means, but at least I can fly at higher altitudes.

Oh, I thought it had a turbine. Isn't there a rotorcraft that looks very similar to a 47G but has a turbine?

I took a tour pre 9/11, it was a fun touristy adventure, flying below the rooflines of the few skyscrapers in downtown. I don't know if they still do it. I'd recommend it if you have the $$$.
