What could become a very real possibility in this city, and not to far in the future, the DOJ could arrest the mayor, the police chief, and the entire city council for aiding and abetting illegal aliens.
I love to see that happen.

They keep up their crazy *****,and it just may happen.

Bob.

Sounds like you would like it in Venezuela then.

Living in Venezuela under Maduro is like living with Trump without James Madison. Very grateful for the guardrails the framers set up to protect all of us form an imbecile like Trump.

The L.A. proposal was in the works long before Trump took office. He simply jumped on the bandwagon because it means bringing the Olympics back to the U.S. I don't think he spent five minutes actually promoting L.A.'s bid to the Olympic Committee.

Circling back to Gil Cedillo's proclamation, I wish those politicians would stop equating border enforcement with hatred of all things Mexican. Just because a country's government wants to keep criminals out does not mean it is against everyone else who want to have business relationships, visit, or even immigrate legally. Countries have a right to protect their borders, and sometimes that entails physical barriers to entry.

"We want to know if there are people who do business with the city of Los Angeles ... who wish to profit from building a wall that would divide us from our nearest and dearest neighbor, Mexico. This is something that we have a right to know."
Lol! So Cedillo wants to promote the interests of his fatherland - it's sweet to be in political power...except, no, we're not all onboard with that.

Based on that logic, since sanctuary cities have been around long before Trump took office, he should just accept them.

Agree with you about Cedillo and the identification of border enforcement with ethnic/racial prejudice. Unfortuately some supporters of stricter border enforcement have resorted to racism and stereotyping which has given the necessary cause of border enforcement a bad name among some.

The primary ones giving it a bad name are the ones who oppose it. They can't come up with good reasons to oppose it.

Hopefully by 2028 we will no longer be a sanctuary city.

I don't think the term 'illegal' is of much concern to him, given that he incessantly sounds like he's on some sort of illegal narcotic.

If you live in California, that is questionable. Maybe Ca.exiting from the USA would be a blessing.
