I passed this on my morning commute. Thankfully for once the 5 was shut down on the opposite side of where I was going. Traffic was stopped from the 5/14 interchange all the way back before the 405.
My question is where the heck are hundreds/thousands of cars going on the 5 north at 7am on a Tuesday? Are people commuting from LA to Bakersfield? Is it just random people passing through LA on the way to someplace else?
