The complaint is about the political prioritizing of the minority of commuters by bicycle over the the vast majority of car drivers. That the elite get to make the congestion worse on the car drivers in favor of the bicyclist.

LOL....they actually make the congestion worse. Cars have to slow down for them. When they're riding in 35 tp 40 mph lanes and they can't peddle that fast, they slow things down more.

Bicyclists are the worst rule breakers. Worse than dog owners, scooter riders, cell phone addicts, or SUV drivers. Bicyclists break more rules than any other demographic.

I've seen bicyclists ...

* Zip past Stop signs.

* Zip past red lights.

* Zip past pedestrians in a crosswalk.

* Zip across the middle of Wilshire Blvd, darting from one alley to other alley across Wilshire.

* Ride in groups, continuing even if they have a red light.

* Ride against traffic.

* Ride side by side, instead of in tandem as required by law.

* Ride in the car lane, holding up traffic -- even though there's an empty bike lane right beside them.

* Ride on sidewalks -- even though there's an empty bike lane right beside them.

And then bicyclists complain about scooters taking up their precious bike lanes.

When I'm out taking a walk, I see bicyclists breaking laws and rules every few minutes.

I do love bicycle thieves. They're my heroes. I think of them as exercising vigilante justice. (Which is what many bicyclists -- e.g. Critical Mass -- see themselves doing as they break every law, so fair's fair.)

Great list.

Yes, riding side by side taking up the whole lane(and I don't mean bike lane).

Only one you missed was riding at night in dark clothing and no lights or reflectors...just brilliant.

I agree it’s amusing.

Also somewhat amusing that your observation comes from the state with 5th highest population density ... compared to California’s 17th density ranking.
