Im an overseas tourist who have enjoyed going to shooting ranges during my stays in America. I have always managed to rent firearms by myself previously at shooting ranges, and last time was last year in Miami.

I will later this year visit Los Angeles and Santa Barbara but I noticed many many ranges, particularly in California, dont allow you to rent a firearm if you go by yourself due to the risk of you may trying committing suicide.

Does anyone know where I would be more likely to be allowed to rent a firearm when going by myself?

Now I plan to visit Texas instead of LA because Texas seem to have less stricter rules about guns.

Sounds like you're coming here ONLY to get some practice on the gun range. If shooting practice is your primary motive, Texas or Washington State will work just fine.

However, if your coming for vacation and sightseeing, there is no way I would choose either of the above over L.A. and Santa Barbara. No comparison.

Yeah Commiefornia is a snowflake workers paradise these days and isn’t exactly caring about the constitution anymore... Las Vegas is a good bet it’s close enough so you can see all the LA sites and still shoot

Hawaii on Waikiki Beach has gun ranges for foreigners. No permit, or license required.

LV same thing, and Texas too.

LV is cool. You can even shoot machine gun from helicopter.

Probably not the best place to come for a gun shootin' vacation.

Takr a side trip to Las Vegas. You can even shoot machine-guns, for a price.

Default The Firing Range

Thanks all.

I checked with The Firing Range close to LAX and they surprisingly gave me the green light and told me the rule didnt apply to tourists with a valid passport
