Since I get Dodger games on TV, it makes no sense even thinking about going downtown to see a game.

My last trip to Angel Stadium was in 2009, again to see the Red Sox. I couldn't believe the Anaheim police presence, both inside and outside of the stadium. I had no problem carrying off-duty inside the ballpark, although, as far as I could see, everyone was behaving and civil.
Last time I went to Angel stadium was a Red Sox game in 2010. Had pretty good seats along the right field foul line but got harassed the entire game. Maybe unlucky. Always had good experiences there prior. Only time I've been to Dodger Stadium was to see the USA-Japan World Baseball Classic. Sat in the upper deck and had a bunch of drunk gang members starting trouble by the end of the game. I thought that crowd wouldn't show up since it wasn't a Dodgers game but I was wrong

Yep, this is one rowdy generation too.

You wouldn't think ticket prices would be so low since the Dodgers are an elite team. (as much as I hate to admit it)

Wrong! Back in ‘96 I went up for the final series when the Padres swept the Dodgers to win the NL west. Friday night we sat in the outfield bleachers and it was a war zone. I was getting trash and beer thrown at me and countless people very aggressive on the concourse. The fact that I’m 6’4” and my Dodger friend was about 6’ kept it mostly verbal, although a few were throwing their shoulders into me hard waiting for a reaction. I skipped Saturday’s game and Sunday we splurged and bought good seats behind home plate. The fans around us were friendly, gracious, and even congratulatory when the Padres won. Leaving the stadium was a nightmare though, it was just like Friday night allover again, but only worse because of the outcome. Never again.

The stadium is by far the largest in the MLB. Ticket supply is very high.

Interesting. I saw games in 1991 and '92, and I didn't see any rowdy behavior.

The dodger's stadium is basically a sitting barrio, therefor I'm only surprised that kind of incident doesn't happen more often.

And there's 81 home games. Baseball is the only affordable sport for ordinary folks in most cities. It's perhaps more shocking that there's often a gritty and rowdy element around NFL games for which tickets are insanely expensive.

Ehhhh, you can get in to a Kings game for about 20 bucks.

Course, the Kings don't appeal to the demographic that causes all the ruckus at Dodger games.

Haven't been to a game since relocating, probably never will. Do like my Rams tickets, though. They're tucked away nicely in the area where cost is a barrier of entry that prevents most unsavory types from finding their way in.
