Most folks know that Baldwin Hills and Ladera Heights are main "upscale," Upper-Middle or even Upper Class areas in L.A. for Blacks.

I was curious...are there any areas in L.A. city, or even L.A. and Orange County, that would be equivalent for Mexicans? What would the closest area be?

No such thing. I mean there are Mexicans in affluent neighborhoods, but there is not ONE neighborhood that is heavily Mexican (or Latino) and affluent in the city of LA and its surrounding area (I can't speak for Inland empire or OC). Someone prove me wrong.

I guess Simi Valley and eastern burbs like Yorba Linda, Placentia & Chino Hills. But the Hispanics that tend to move out there are more acculturated & could easily be mistaken for Italian Americans.

^Additionally those are all very mixed areas with a white plurality - and they're not in LA county. More whites than hispanics in those places. But yes, some wealthier hispanics live there

Wealthy Mexicans are scattered all over the place. The more money Mexicans make, the more Anglo (or in my case, ethically ambiguous) they appear, so it's kind of hard to set them apart from everyone else. Black, white, the only color that really matters is green!

I meant ethnically ambiguous. Ethically--LOL! Criminy.

While certainly not upscale, I drove through Whittier a week ago or so, and it seemed like a clean, attractive, solidly middle class, majority hispanic area.

Prey tell, why would a mexican American seem more Italian if he/she had money.
This offends me.
